Ace has been involved in driver training for over 25 years. We are an approved training organisation for various bodies including the Skills for Logistics Council through whom we provide the Young Driver Training Scheme. As an Approved Training Organsiation we work closely with training organisations to achieve a national standard within the logistics industry. We are partners with several bodies to provide government training as well as working with a wide variety of private businesses, large and small. We have trained people from all walks of life and our courses are designed to suit their individual requirements, the success of this strategy is reflected by our high pass rates.
The Courses are instructed by DSA Qualified Instructors who are experience drivers a well as trainers. This allows them to pass on personal experience as well as the DSA syllabus.
Our Courses are designed to train the individual for the DSA Tests. Training requirements for large goods vehicles and passenger carrying vehicles is currently undergoing changes to bring the UK in line with European Directives. In 2008/9 the Driver Competence Certificates will be introduced and on going driver training will become a compulsory requirement to retain a vocational licence. There will also be changes to the theory tests and training hours. Minimum vehicle requirements for the tests have been changing over the last few years and new standards were introduced in July 2007.
With the increasing demands made upon the industry it is becoming necessary for large organisations to have their own in house training instructors who are not only able to train staff to pass DSA Large Goods Tests but are also capable of ongoing driver assessments and training schedules. ACE Instructors are familiar with the procedures involved and can provide Driver Development and Fault Analysis to assist HR and Transport Management. Alternatively, we are experienced in Training the Instructor to DSA Standards.
The ACE Team will be happy to discuss in more details the training and skills you will need to achieve your goal. They will also sit with you over a cup of tea and discuss the trials and tribulations of the professional driver, the tears and laughter, and the final satisfaction when a key skill is mastered and a license achieved.
